ART IN THE PANDEMIC: A HEALER, A CRY OF LIFE

The world has come to a halt, but art won’t and can’t. There’s no shackle, latch or bar that can hold it back. Art is emerging even more energetically through the cracks that have been left open for it to breathe, amid the desolation that is silencing the outside world. It leans out of the window and screams and bellows with all its might: “Look at me, naked!” This is how it wants to be seen, in its most intimate essence, making us feel pleasure and relief simply by looking at it. The world isn’t dying. From an artistic point of view, we are regaining life, forgetting pain and crossing the imposed walls.

That’s what this initiative (#CORPOatHome) is about: targeting the very core of the creative process of our contemporary artists. And they, generous with their creations, have sent us these videos as cries of life to remind us that we’re not dead.

Take a look at the workshop and the ultimate meaning of our creators, from all corners of the world, wherever they’re on lockdown. We hope you like it.
